Our boutique is focused on high quality, affordable dance and fitness apparel with a specific twist to serve the Greater Lansing area. Dancy Pantz will serve as a local-first boutique–prioritizing the Greater Lansing community and promoting a family-oriented atmosphere where customers can comfortably and interactively shop for their children or themselves. Our goal is to make retail fun, affordable, and attainable.
Megan has wanted to open a dance and fitness apparel store for the past 5 years, and with Bottoms Up announcing their closing, she decided it was her time. She has been blessed to work with some amazing people including Bottoms Up to get herself off the ground and running. She is so excited to provide Lansing with a storefront to fulfill the dance and fitness needs of the area. Come on in to see what we mean!

Megan is a graduate of Michigan State University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Health Promotions. Megan grew up in Hudsonville, Michigan and has been a resident in the Lansing area for 8 years. Dancing since age 3, Megan studied dance at Body Language Dance Company where she competed in tap, jazz, and hip-hop regionally and nationally while taking technical classes in ballet, jazz, and tap. Megan has taught at several Mid-Michigan studios for over 7 years where she has put together numerous routines which have competed both regionally and nationally. She has won several choreography awards and placed in the top 10 numerous times throughout her career. Megan has attended the Dance Teacher Summit in New York City where she has been trained by several professional dancers including Travis Wall, Twitch, Ray Leeper, and Mandy Moore. Megan has also obtained group exercise certifications in PiYo Live!, POUND fitness, Barre, and HITT to help launch the fitness side of dance. In addition to her group certifications, she is also a personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine where she works with clients on the side to help them meet their fitness goals. Megan also enjoys crafting, traveling, cooking and spending time with her friends and family. Megan is so excited to have her dream store become a reality and can’t wait to get her Dancy Pantz on!
Ruthie moved from San Francisco and is currently been in Lansing for 3 years. Ruthie started ballet at the age of 6, then worked her way up to pointe at age 13. She continued her passion for dance at San Francisco State and received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance, where her focused was in small business and nonprofit. She has a lot of passion for dance and its industry, which is why she loves working and being around dancers. Ruthie and Dancy Pantz became a perfect fit and loving it every day!
